About Kyla

I am a Central Florida native, college graduate, and author. I officially began writing as a child, creating short stories and small essays. In high school, I ventured into poetry and longer stories, developing a deep love for literature. It wasn’t until college that I began writing novels and exploring various formats of creative writing. I discovered my passion for storytelling during my junior year at the University of Central Florida. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a published author.

I have always enjoyed interacting with kids and hope to be a mentor for those who have felt left out, been bullied, or simply need guidance in their lives. I strive to encourage and inspire kids to do the impossible, reach for the stars, stand up for themselves, and pursue their dreams. Wanting to combine my joy and passion for writing and working with kids, I created my book, Courage Within.

When I am not writing, I love to read, travel the world, bake, spend time in nature, experience new cultural cuisines, and spend time with my family and friends. I am an avid fan of musicals, and one of my dreams is to see every big musical there is.

I am currently a social media manager but always make time to write.
